Histoy of Clyan

For George Lucas and Mary Kay Klim

While the primary source for this history comes from the journals of Blyord, gaps existed in his reporting that had to be filled in from texts of the dwarves and elves, as well as elsewhere. This often accounts for contradictions and inconsistancies.

For instance, the name of Clyan is sometimes called Tbor -- which is really the ancient name of Amlor. But at one point during the narrative, Amlor or Tbor was the center of the civilized world and was considered the same as Clyan. This changed as new kingdoms rose in the south.

This is an extensive volume that also includes differing myths. While I tend to follow the creation myths associated with the Lesser Gods of Amlor, I also include ancient creation myths from the elves and others as preserved by Blyord in his extensive data base. Since King Ely and many of his kin tended to quote from the elf mythology, it is necessary to present the basics here.

These tales also span thousands, maybe even tens of thousands of pages, so that there may be other inconsistancies. I am presenting them as they appear in Blyord's and other archives without significant alteration.

Since members of our study group unfortunately became intangled in the tales, I also present my own logs so that our role may be made obvious, even though future historians may condemn us for our actions. I do not verify the truth of the history, only those aspects of our own doings as I have witnessed for myself.

I will add material in parts in order to make it more handleable, although I will provide a single location for maps and other illustrations, adding new material as I add relevant text.
